In a near future, during the summer, with inflation rising and the imminent arrival of a solar eclipse, 11-year-old Bego becomes obsessed with “shifting” — an internet trend where teenagers alter realities by inducing lucid dreaming. As the boundaries between reality and dreaming begin to blur, she starts to believe she has the power to change everything around her.
